How ContainerTracker Pro collects, uses, stores, and protects information across our iOS application, website, and related services.

ContainerTracker Pro (“ContainerTracker Pro,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you use the ContainerTracker Pro iOS application, our website at containertracker.pro, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

We may collect your name, email address, company name, account identifier, and information provided through Sign in with Apple, including Apple private relay email addresses.

Shipment and Logistics Information

We process container numbers, shipping lines, route information, vessel and voyage details, departure and arrival dates, ETA information, shipment events, customer names, client references, notes, and other information you choose to enter.

Reports and Company Branding

If you use reporting features, we may process report filters, recipient email addresses, automatic report preferences, company information, and a company logo selected by you.

PDF and Excel reports may be generated on your device or securely through our cloud services, depending on the feature used.

Subscription Information

We may process product identifiers, transaction identifiers, subscription status, entitlement level, renewal or expiration information, and purchase environment. Payments are handled through the App Store. We do not receive or store your complete payment card or banking information.

Device and Usage Information

We may collect app version, device and platform information, account identifiers, push notification tokens, notification preferences, feature interactions, report exports, subscription events, and diagnostic or security information.

Support Information

When you contact Help & Support, we process your name, email address, subject, message, and related correspondence.

Website Information

When you visit containertracker.pro, standard technical information may be processed, including IP address, browser type, device type, access time, and requested pages.

2. How We Use Information

  • Create, authenticate, and secure user accounts.
  • Track containers and retrieve shipment information.
  • Display routes, delays, ETA changes, arrivals, deliveries, and shipment events.
  • Generate and deliver PDF, Excel, and scheduled reports.
  • Store notification, report, and company branding preferences.
  • Process subscriptions and enforce monthly shipment allowances.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and technical problems.
  • Measure feature usage and improve application performance.
  • Comply with legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal Bases

Where applicable under EEA or UK law, we process information based on:

  • Contract: To provide the application and services requested by you.
  • Legitimate interests: To operate, secure, support, and improve the service.
  • Consent: For push notifications and other processing where consent is legally required.
  • Legal obligations: To comply with applicable laws and valid legal requests.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

4. How Information May Be Shared

We share information only when reasonably necessary to operate and protect the service. Information may be processed by:

  • Cloud hosting, authentication, database, storage, and notification providers.
  • Container tracking and shipment information providers.
  • App Store purchase and subscription platforms.
  • Transactional email and report delivery services.
  • Application analytics, performance, and security services.
  • Professional advisers and authorities when required by law.
  • A successor organization in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale.

Service providers are permitted to process information only for authorized purposes and are expected to apply appropriate confidentiality and security protections. We do not permit service providers to use your shipment, account, or customer information for their own advertising purposes.

5. International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, international transfers are protected through appropriate contractual, organizational, and legal safeguards.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

We retain account and shipment information while your account remains active or while it is reasonably necessary to provide the service.

Delete your account in the appSettings → Delete Account

Account deletion removes your active authentication account, user profile, saved containers, registered notification devices, scheduled report settings, and stored company logo from our active application systems.

Certain transaction, entitlement, security, fraud-prevention, support, and legal records may be retained when reasonably necessary to comply with legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce agreements, or protect the security of the service. Provider backups may remain temporarily according to standard backup and deletion schedules.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.

  • Update your account information inside the application.
  • Delete individual containers.
  • Delete or replace your company logo.
  • Disable individual shipment notification categories.
  • Disable all notifications through iOS Settings.
  • Delete your account from the application.

EEA and UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

8. Customer and Third-Party Information

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to enter or upload customer names, client references, company logos, recipient email addresses, and other third-party information. Do not enter sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for container tracking or reporting.

9. Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including:

  • Account-level data separation.
  • Restricted database access.
  • Secure network transmission.
  • Encrypted cloud infrastructure.
  • Server-side purchase verification.
  • Authentication and authorization controls.
  • Operational monitoring and access restrictions.

No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. No Sale or Advertising Tracking

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use ContainerTracker Pro to display third-party behavioral advertisements.

11. Children

ContainerTracker Pro is designed for logistics professionals and businesses. The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. External Links

The application and website may contain links to external websites and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, or content of external services. Information processed after opening an external service is governed by that service’s own privacy policy.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, features, legal obligations, or data practices change. The updated policy will display a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the application or website.
